Oh, I’ve been to reunions and to gatherings where people are drinking in moderation. They’re classy enough not to get drunk, but no one has ever treated me different because they know I don’t like alcohol or to even be around it. I do have a question for you, was this triggering for you and your husband. Seems very early for him to be around people drinking and partying this early into his sobriety?

I'm so proud of you for not drinking but maybe taking him around where there is alcohol isn't the best place to take him it could trigger him and make it harder for him to stay sober

Some people quit drinking, smoking or whatever their addiction was and suddenly want to point fingers, judge and lose empathy for others going through the same things! I totally respect those that do overcome and have a better life, don’t judge others, make fun of them or degrade others currently going through their issues!! REMEMBER YOUR STRUGGLES! There are always good days and could be better days. Honestly, sober living is a very different experience! I gave up drinking by choice, then medically 2 years ago. I thought the worst would be at an all inclusive in Mexico. It was fine I had fun mocktails!

I don’t think you realize MOST doctors did moment they see you are an addict WILL IMMEDIATELY judge whether you know it or not! Andy will forever be an addict and from my experience doctors don’t take kindly to addicts unless they’re addiction specialists! I’ve been judged the moment I’ve told a Dr I was an addict and I’ve been clean 14yrs… Also, if he’s newly sober most friends in general don’t know how to react and don’t want to upset someone newly sober so they stay away! So unless you talk to them about it they’re NOT going to know your boundaries 🤷🏻♂️

I’ve always thought it was so unattractive how people act when they are intoxicated. They act like they think they’re having fun, they think they’re being witty when in fact, they look so low class. It’s not attractive to not be in control of yourself to smell like alcohol and act intoxicated is one of the worst looks. I can see on anybody. And then the next day they feel horrible because of the hangover. So not only did they make a fool out of themselves but now they don’t feel good. I’ve never been able to understand it.
