I guess I’m trying to understand what will help them stop doing this? A person who throws dirty diapers and garbage on the floor will continue doing that. How will they get the mental health care they need?

Thank you for doing this, but especially for advocating for compassion and accountability! I was a foster parent for 4 years and so many people want to just scream “remove the kids” but a lot of families just need a reset and some support.

Just as far as carpet cleaning goes wouldn’t it be more effective to find a professional cleaner that could pitch in their services, they have much better equipment, can do it quicker and get more water out of the carpet cutting down on drying time

These comments are not it 😪 I don't think some people can even fathom the level of trauma other people might deal with in life, and everything you said about the support systems in place was spot on. No, this environment isn't safe for kids. But what makes you think that the Government, that can't even help it's own citizens begging for help, will find a safer option for uplifted kids? Please have some critical thoughts before casting judgement on strangers 🙏 You guys are doing the most amazing work! Keep it up! x

as a former child who grew up in a dirty house, it really is traumatic. i watch these videos for exposure therapy but i have to disagree when you say kids shouldn't be removed

I might not always have the right things to say. I might not always know how to respond to every question, concern, or criticism. But at the end of the day i am literally just one person choosing to use the platform I’ve built to help people where other systems are falling very short. There is only so much I can do and this one was heavy. Really, really heavy and I still feel like I haven’t been able to catch my breath. I don’t think people fully understand the emotional and mental toll this work takes on everyone involved. We aren’t just watching these situations through a screen.. we’re walking into these homes and carrying a lot of that with us long after we leave. It’s heartbreaking. & frustrating & sometimes it’s incredibly difficult to process. I am human, I feel the sadness & the anger & the helplessness & the weight of knowing that even after everything we’ve done, there are still things completely outside of our control. I don’t have all the answers. I can’t fix every broken system, i can’t solve every problem these families are facing. But I can show up and I can do what is within my power, and I can keep trying to make a difference To everyone who continues to support what we do, i love YALL sm
