I am so sorry! I went through this and Chat helped me find, serve and win my child support case 15 years after the fact and my child is now in college. I never asked for or wanted CS but custody issues got CS involved. Mine was taken from me for a month very unexpectedly after years of no contact, before the same judge made them let me see her. I did not have a lawyer. Don’t give up! Praying for you 🙏

Ummm I went to court numerous times without a lawyer, while my son’s father lawyered up but couldn’t pay child support 👀… I won each time. You got this. A lawyer can only do so much.

I tried but the M.O. of our judge in AZ was to leave kids with the abusive parent. He was eventually investigated and forced into retirement, but none of the families he damaged received any case review or reversal.

I can’t afford another lawyer… I have no choice but to fight for myself on my behalf and if I don’t then I didn’t fight all the way and if I lose than at least I know I fought til the very fucking end and clawed my way through the battle. We need this. We NEED MORE.

I won pro se against a lawyer my ex had. I fired my shark attorney who told me I wouldn't win and he wouldn't file for full legal custody for me. I did it. I won. You can too! I'm so sorry you're going through all this - sending all my love and support

There absolutely is. It’s disgusting. I received legally aid and was later removed because THEY couldn’t find his address to serve him. They said it wasn’t a real address. Even with legal aid it’s still not seen as equal in court if the other person has a paid for lawyer. You’re doing amazing.

im in salt lake county and family court if your pro-se against the other parties attorney your screwed. its been almost 2 yrs for me its about money. All the attorneys I have spoke to has said fighting pro-se isnt good at all but they dont do nothing for you anyways when you hire them unless you pay out your ass so its a corrupt system no one really helps you out here. They want you to be a parent but control the way you parent through family court. I dont wish this upon child.

Can I tell you I have a lawyer and I had to correct his document multiple times 😂 I don’t know whether to laugh or whether it to cry about that or to be very concerned the Judge won’t give me My Kids no matter how many times I showed up to Court what evidence they force you to get a lawyer it’s Stuipd I’ve represent myself before in court Never had an issue this Judge basically keeps telling me every time I go to court to get an attorney to get an attorney

I was pro se in Davis county and I won everything I asked for and MORE. He had two lawyers and even the GAL recommended against me because she was friends with his lawyer. I still won. If you’re objectively correct then you just need to file the right thing at the right time. I’m about to go back to court in a couple weeks to file another motion to modify. Can’t wait. Don’t listen to people saying you can’t.
