Burbank was named after Dr. David Burbank, a dentist from New Hampshire, not the horticulturist Luther Burbank. Lucy and Desi had a 5 acre ranch in Chatsworth at Corbin Ave and Devonshire St. The address was 19700 Devonshire St. There was a Italian/German POW camp during WWII located where Travel Town Railroad is located in Griffith Park.

I was surprised to learn when I moved here that North Hollywood is not, in fact, bordering Hollywood. It’s EIGHT miles north and it’s technically in the valley so there’s a whole mountain range in between the Hollywoods
