Look, I’ll engage in what I hope to be a meaningful way and not lower to the personal jabs. Nor am I going to delete my comment and run away from what I said, I stand by it. “Why do you feel the need to comment?”, well because you posted in a public forum and opened yourself up to commentary, and this is my profession (I qualified years ago). I genuinely wasn’t trying to be mean with the comment, and if it came across that way I apologise. But now I’ll address the content of this video, replying to my comment. The attitude of “Oh you don’t know, I could work into my 80s”, is the same attitude that people like Mitch McConnell and every other decrepit senator has been making for decades, and look how that worked out for them (and the rest of your country). It’s not realistic. Nor is it safe. Time waits for man (or woman), and ageing naturally makes people less sharp, slower to work, incapable of physically intensive work (like CPR) [you might cover the effects of ageing on the brain next year]. People who’ve been working in the profession for decades have earned that patience from their patients, not someone who went into it knowingly with that state of body just around the corner in a decade give or take. As for your comment about wealth-hoarding, I’m not going to engage with that, “the wealth trickles down” defense is loooong over when it comes to wealth hoarding. Elon Musk learned that the hard way with the Texas results last night. I’m happy to engage in a conversation about this, and I’m not trying to be disrespectful Mr. Rosen, but I won’t lower to personal attacks if that’s what it becomes. For everyone else in the comments who wants to reply to this, lol idc, you guys have bigger things to worry about in your country than an Irishman commenting (Ireland’s in Europe btw, I know who’ll be reading this.)
