Go in, give 80% and go home. Our ways are not welcome at work.

I got a job in quality because of this and it turns out, they really don’t want you to actually make things better. Every change hurts someone’s feelings.

I had to learn to pull back. This is above my pay grade and power. If they don’t care, idgaf. It’s been peaceful.😂😂

I became a program manager so that my literal job is to find inefficiencies and fix them lol

Thats why I like Elon Musk’s companies. He’s one of us and sees the inefficiencies except he has the ability to fix them that we wish we had. Imagine how great our own workplaces would be if management would listen to us.

What took me a while to realize is that the inefficiencies are often not an accident. It’s someone’s job to keep them going or they wouldn’t have one.

Switching from white collar to blue collar saved my life. I have THE TASK that’s in front of me, only and exclusively the task in front of me. No one else to get hung up on. Clock in, work, clock out.

YES! As a career EA part of my job description is processes and efficiencies - they hire me for it as a strength - and then ignore it and call me inflexible/rigid - and I see the pattern that I’m the one who’s going to have to clean up the mess. It’s been a terrible role for me.

I’m finally at a company that my sups are so supportive and cool and it’s work from home. But most of my life they love me, hire me, and about three months in it starts.

The hardest part is when they then tell you they want to be more efficient and want you to help with that. Then they continue to ignore the actual issues.

I lost any desire to make things more efficient for employers, but I do try share things from time to time with peers so we're not all creating the same things individually. Otherwise, I solve iterative problems I have and keep them to myself.

It's not about effeciency for effeciencies sake though. It's about I don't have the energy reserve to piss away on petty things that my peers have, because I have to spend mine on things that cost them nothing. So I need to be very deliberate what I spend that energy on.

Had a job in process excellence and saw sooooo many things that could be fixed but my manager did not care and still got mad at me bc it wasn't up to her standard 😭

My hyper vigilance of these inefficiencies is what has driven me to achieve a regional VP role at 27. I was so frustrated by my lack of ability to make better changes, I forced my way in lol.

i work at a small business & the owner trusts me enough that he allows me to change procedures, i make changes to the website, i don’t even really have to ask him, i just inform him of what i’m doing & he just says cool go ahead

my coworkers see it as “ehh not my issue, it’s the next guys” and after you fix issue 1,2, and 3 the next day issue 3,4, and 5 pop up because 1 vs 5 it’s a never ending cycle and It’s not that I feel guilty about taking time off work, but more so the fact that I know the next day when I come back I’m going to have to fix a bunch of issues
