I take a picture of the other driver, the inside of their car that I can see, and their license. That way I have proof of EXACTLY who was there.

My agency doesn’t do reports for minor accidents 🤷🏻♀️just hands out a case card and sends you on your way

I got a dash cam. Hit a deer and while the state trooper did come and no one was hurt - well aside from the deer - I had proof. I think they would’ve believed me either way but it was nice to have video proof.

lol I got into a car accident that involved multiple cars on 285 and called the police( they hung up the first 2 times but ultimately said they’d come later). 3/8 cars left after we pulled to the side. After 5 minutes, there were 2 cars and after an hr of waiting it was just me and when I called my insurance company, I was able to get my car fixed but had to go and get a police report cause they never came😭

Mam. That’s why we pay for insurance. Insurance ppl are lazy and want a police report so they don’t have to do their job. Part of their job is investigating and determining who’s at fault. If the police don’t see the crash they don’t determine who’s at fault. It’s a Civil issue. Accident. No injuries and no criminal offense means you exchange information and move on. The police don’t have time to deal with 27115 fender benders. Too many criminals out there doing actual crime.

when i was in high school i was leaving the parking lot at the light and the person in front of me randomly decided they wanted to back up. i held my horn down for a good 10 secs cuz we had a good amount of space between us, he still hit me and bc he had a jeep he had no damage but my whole front bumper was scratched and smashed in. i was only 16, called my dad and he told me to call the police who said they weren’t coming. the idiot who hit me admit fault but only verbally and made me talk to his gma on the phone n tell her what happened and they both apologized and we exchanged insurance. later i was found at fault because he claimed he was rear ended and since i had no dash cam or witnesses i couldn’t do anything about it 😒 anyway he was in my grade and i egged his house and car months later lmao

Happened to me in Houston. Cop showed up but said they don’t make reports if no one is hurt and not a lot of damage.
