@coyjandreau: JONATHAN HICKMAN. THE LEGEND HIMSELF. The mastermind behind Marvel’s landmark 2015 Secret Wars event and the absolutely Brilliant Avengers and Time Runs Out storylines is reportedly involved as a script and creative consultant on Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. As someone who loves Hickman’s work, I cannot overstate how exciting this is. If there’s anyone who understands the sheer scale, complexity, and emotional weight of these stories, it’s the man who wrote them. THIS is the kind of news I LOVE to hear. How are we feeling about this? #mcu #avengersdoomsday #secretwars #jonathanhickman #avengers

honestly i think doomsday is adapting the hickman era but secret wars will have more elements from the 1984 run, russo brothers specifically sited the original secret wars as a very important comic for them. best of both worlds to me

Dylan Droz :

I kind of figured it’d be similar to the DCTV show version of Crisis, streamline all the main heroes to be on one earth and fix some lingering continuity issues while setting a new status quo

Zolano 🎲 :

They said Hickman has been on production since the original script was being written.

99toPresent :
