I think you handled it perfectly. If a customer knows they’re coming in with a last minute request because something cancelled they should be willing to do whatever they need to do. Not push back.

It’s your business. You need to run it your way. Example if they went to a bakery they would be charged that same way. Them being disrespectful I would have told her I wouldn’t work with her. You did a the correct thing. 🤗

Simple… after the third disagreement on her end simply say, “ok, it seems we can’t come to an understanding and won’t be able to work together so I wish you well on your hunt to find a baker who will accommodate you”

She had no plan to pay you. Saying she will pay cash on pick up and nothing before that says to me that she will come and see all your effort and then say it is all wrong and she will not pay for it because it was wrong, expecting you to give it for free.

I understand she was let down last minute so she would be hesitant but you taking the order last minute was great & you needing full payment is understandable. You still trying to work with her on payment taking a 50% deposit & the rest the week before was more than fair but her being disrespectful to you was not right or fair. I wouldn't have moved forward with that order.

Absolutely not! It’s your time, your business, your rules. On top of that what would happen if this was a prank or someone that ghosted you now all of that time and money is on your hands and you have all these cake pops that you did and didn’t get paid for.
