Honestly it’s a perfect rep of what happens when someone is too connected to their title. She was so connected to being the avatar she never figure out who she is or what she wanted or how to overcome that she’s might not be good enough for being the avatar. Her whole show she tries to prove it and life keeps giving her impossible task and she over comes them anyways. Bc all she ever wanted to be was the avatar

In my opinion she just become a better fighter. She fought through most of the series in one way or another and after all of it she always learned something new which upgraded her skill level. This just showed how much PTSD she got from that fight and how she learned to let go not only the poisen but the memories too. And then she went on to beat some more asses and spirit bend a huge spirit laser and rearrange the whole world. So safe to say she became better.

Honestly thats the issue with korra though. Her way of the Avatar was all about fighting and combat and she left room for nothing else. Aang was a peacemaker, a talker and a kind person. Korra based her entire era off how many bad guys she could pummel and ultimately when she met her match she gave up/abandoned being the avatar. Aang wouldnt have done that.

Korra’s journey is honestly so devastating and it’s heartbreaking to know that the world in seven havens despise her and her successors. I still love that her story had sacrifices, consequences, and more mature themes like I couldn’t help but feel for Korra
