@github.signals: Kiri: The Tiny Container Runtime Kiri starts a container in just two and a half milliseconds, making it roughly eighty times faster than the standard desktop tools. It is a lightweight replacement for Docker Desktop that runs your existing Docker images inside a single, tiny virtual machine. Built entirely in Rust, it removes the usual heavy background processes, keeping the memory footprint around fifteen megabytes. The system speaks the standard Docker API, so your current commands and tools work exactly as they do today. It also supports local domains and can spin up a one-command Kubernetes cluster. The name comes from an Igbo word meaning small, fitting its efficient design. That’s neat, but is startup a bottleneck for most folks? Seems like reads/writes/builds would be what matters? Idk, I’m sure some folks care about startup
