This is my formerly feral baby. We just celebrated 6-months with us. It’s the first time in her 2.5 years of life that she’s had a home. We still can’t cuddle and she likes to approach people on her own terms. But she can be in the same general space as us now, and she doesn’t pee everytime someone looks at her. She’s been great with our other dog and I’m so glad that we took a chance on her.

She reminds me SO much of my girl Ollie, she was shut down like this when I met her too…it was such a learning curve. Said goodbye to her after 13 years this year, but I know she had a beautiful life!

She will totally be a cuddly girl with time. We adopted a similar dog a few years ago and she she loves to snuggle and the fluffiest beds. No longer needs a double leash, and is even more human curious these days. Dog tax below (I’m somewhere in that pile too)

This is my once feral pup. When I first got her she from a shelter she was there for 3 months with no one looking at her, she was found in the country rooming around. When I first took her home she didn’t trust me out wouldn’t eat. It took me 3 long months to start to trust me and train. A year later and i am still working her up to be a great pup.

my boy is like that, only no other animals. He doesnt like to be cuddled or snuggled. its so heartbreaking. But hes living out the rest of his life in a happy home where despite his past...hes loved unconditionally
