I frequently say “you are NOT going to BELIEVE this!!!!!” And when they perk up, I say “I’m still doing math up here.” Or when someone solves something I give a good ole “NO WAY!” Anything to keep them on their toes

My math teacher just left the school not even a semester into the school year, i wish you were my math teacher because we are still being given tests and quizzes even though we arent being taught, oh how i wish

one of my favorite things to do when i’m teaching a lesson and i feel like students aren’t paying attention is i’ll talk at my normal volume and then just start mumbling the end of my sentences. that usually makes someone say “huh?” and i go “oh so you guys ARE listening to me!” and just continue teaching
