My ex best friend was like this with anything involving art because I’m decent at it and it’s a hobby. When paint and sips started being a thing we went to one and she kept saying I was “taking myself too serious” and then years later we went to a paint night and she gave me this speech before we got there about how “it’s supposed to be a fun thing” and not to “ruin it by taking myself too serious” and then hosted one, invited me and then tried to tell me I couldn’t participate because for the same reasons. I don’t paint with people anymore
