@archademia: Most pay rise tips are bollocks. As an employer, here's what I'd look out for. 1. Know the fee and the time spent. Keep a job profitable and you'll get a piece of that action. 2. Help win new work. Big schemes take time, but anyone can make introductions. That earned bonuses in our practice, and regular winners got promoted. 3. Be the one they can't live without. Exceptional Revit skills are dead hard to replace, particularly through a recruiter. 4. Lead, inside the office and out. Rally the team, then do the same with engineers and planners. 5. Make the firm look good, with third parties and even at awards. Thinking "why elevate someone else's firm?" Fair. Some people climb until it feels like theirs. Everyone else, think selfishly: all of this applies to your own firm one day, with an amazing portfolio to call your own. Which one are you strongest at right now?
