@dekaudesigns: 🌋 Daily Volcano Watch — Wednesday, November 4, 2026 Kīlauea remains at WATCH, aviation color code ORANGE. Intermittent lava flows have continued from the north vent in Halemaʻumaʻu over the past day — overflows typically last about 15–20 minutes, and 2–3 per hour were occurring this morning. Strong glow was seen from the southwest vent overnight, with occasional spatter and flames. Six small earthquakes were located at the summit in the past day, most beneath the south caldera region, and seismic tremor at the summit stays elevated. Summit inflation that continued through yesterday shifted to deflation around 3 AM this morning; the Uēkahuna tiltmeter has recovered 17.6 microradians of tilt since Episode 55 ended. SO2 emissions averaged about 4,000 tonnes per day, with strong trade winds carrying volcanic gases southwest toward Kaʻū. Seismicity and ground deformation remain low in both rift zones. USGS says Episode 56 high fountaining remains possible today or anytime through November 8.
