We still have lots of work to do. In solidarity, a Floridian.

You know. I have a sneaking suspicion we were founded more as a secular and stoic republic than a christian nation. We have a christian heritage, for sure, but I’m not so sure the deists of the founding fathers really though of this as a Christian nation given the enlightenment principles they held. Heck, even Benjamin Franklin made a prayer book in which he prayed to the “gods” plural as if he was a Roman Stoic! lol

As someone who “woke up”” it’s devastating to learn what Christianity also has done with politics

I belong to an Episcopal Church. Our priest was the first one in our town to perform gay marriages. We have five gay couples in our congregation. We have watched three people transition. In the second floor, the church we host closet transitions, which provides for free close to those transitioning to the other gender. In our basement, we host a Catholic group of gay people who wanna be catholic, but can’t go to Catholic churches. This is how Jesus showed radical love. We are a come as you are Church and even dress up for Halloween.

It's just so heartbreaking that after 2 millenia we still have to fight over what the "prophets" meant. Religion is evolution's biggest mistake.

We didn’t get the wins in Idaho but there’s hints of blue in every county. This is going to take time but I have hope.

I specifically cast my vote against Trump and Christian Nationalism. I’m incredibly proud of Republicans in Texas who voted against the Republican Party. They are sending a message that the Republican Party no longer represents them. Go, Talafreakooooo!! 💙💙💙💙
