@thesameerproject: This woman spoke to us about the water crisis in Deir al-Balah as summer came to an end. Now, with winter approaching, families are still struggling for safe drinking water - and disruptions to Gaza’s water supply have deepened the crisis. OCHA reported that drinking-water production in mid October was 34% lower than in mid-September, amid pipeline interruptions, electricity failures and shortages of desalination parts. By October 22, 11 organizations warned they might have to stop water deliveries, threatening approximately 360 distribution points. Make no doubt about it, this is a man-made catastrophe. The seasons change. Families’ need for water does not. Rain will not fill their cups with safe drinking water. We must increase The Sameer Project’s water deliveries. Help us reach more families, and keep CLEAN water arriving every day. Sign up to become a monthly donor to out Food and Water Campaign.
