People are buying into this, but the whole reason 500+ bases should sustain themselves is just a precaution in case of supply disruptions, since our logistics rely on ports and other infrastructure that can be disrupted. It is very hard to shut down a power grid, so there is no need to worry; it is nonsense. The British government telling people to stock up for three days of no power is a general advisory, people on social media make everything a big deal its called fear mongering. Pete Hegseth making sure bases can go 90 days without resupply is a genius idea.
