I wish all labor nurses would sit down with the husband for a few mins and tell him how to support us, how to show up for us after the baby, explain how much pain we are truly in during recovery and that’s it’s going to be ok in the end.

"breastfeeding shouldn't hurt" is a liiiie. 3 babies, it hurt so bad for the first 2 weeks with each of them, but then no pain when feeding for the next year

That it is 100% ok and still NORMAL if you don’t feel the magical movie moment of love and bonding the second they’re born, especially if you have a traumatic birth. I had to have an emergency c section due to HELLP and was not all there mentally. I think it would’ve helped me greatly if someone had just said there is no “right” emotion to feel right now, just one thing at a time :)

As a postpartum nurse I’ve educated manyyy patients how postpartum cramps can be more intense after more pregnancies. Buttttt now as a mom of 3 I experienced how intense they really can get after each the postpartum cramps were much more than I thought!

I gave birth to all 3 babies at the same hospital. All inductions. With my first and second, I wasn’t told about switching positions or the circuit positions. With my third, I did flying cowgirl and dilated sooooo fast!! I wish I knew about that stuff with my first two

Anything and everything. They need to make parenting, prenatal, labor, delivery & postpartum classes MANDATORY for both parents 😐 I had 7 nieces and nephews by the time it was my turn and I thought I knew everything. I knew nothing 🤣😭

NO ONE. ABSOLUTELY NO ONE told me that when my water broke I would KEEP leaking. like 2 towel through water break. through the rest of my labor my water would leak!!! I had no clue
