moderate means you don't really stand for anything.

Can’t the moderate ban together and push for moderate candidates? I like things on both sides.

I really like what you are saying, but it's extremely hard to work together to solve problems when both sides have different goals.

Call me cynical, but over the last +20 years under Bush, Obama, Trump, and Biden I’ve seen little that either party actually does to improve most people’s lives and plenty that makes them worse. When median incomes did rise it was mainly because of private-sector productivity and business conditions, not government policy. Housing, healthcare, and education costs often outpaced those gains, life expectancy stagnated relative to peers, and many households felt little net improvement. Real progress still comes from people outside government and from individuals themselves. Top it off with it was disheartening to see newly elected officials from both parties lead with “Subpoenas coming” instead of “Excited to work across the aisle and get things done.”

as a moderate, I've never been a trump fan. I agree with him on some things, but he's always been too authoritarian to get behind for me. the problem is I think he's a natural reaction to progressive authoritarianism which is less obvious to the common voter, because it's sold in kinder terms. I don't see how we move forward as long as both sides are committed to ideological dominance federally. to me, what makes America work is there's space for everybody in states rights.

The problem is the politicians are already working together and share common ground: their own wealth and power. They bogeyman the other side so you have to vote. But they do nothing of substance when they’re in power. And they just flip flop back and forth
