@lorainetheprairiedog: 🐿️Almond “Dina” was my very first rescue- she had fallen from a tree and a pack of dogs surrounded her when I found her. I had raised her for 2 years before making the very difficult but yet selfless decision to rehabilitate her for life in the “wild” and release her. When she was ready- she left for the great outdoors- my front yard. She’ll always hold a special place in my heart and was the reason for my love of rescue and rehabilitation. Since having a squirrel as a pet is “illegal” here, I knew I wanted a pet that I could have forever that reminded me of Almond, so when I saw Loraine posted on fb- I knew I had the means to care for her and the knowledge of raising small “wildlife” and I knew I could love her forever!
