@maddycakesandpastries: Making Maple Glazed Apple Blondies! 🍎🍏 #fyp #viral #baking #blondies #Recipe Recipe- For the Apple layer- 1 large Apple, peeled, cored, cut into 1/2 inch cubes (I prefer Granny Smith) 1/4 cup light brown sugar 2 tsp ground cinnamon 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg For the blondies- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar 1/2 light brown sugar 2 large eggs and 1 large egg yolk, room temp 2 tsp vanilla extract 1 tsp maple extract 2 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt For the Maple Glaze- 1/2 cup powdered sugar 1 tbsp maple syrup 1 tbsp milk 1/2 tsp vanilla extract 1/2 tsp maple extract Pinch of salt Directions- 1. First, make the apple layer. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a 9×9 in. baking pan with parchment paper on all sides. 2. In a small bowl, combine the chopped apple, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Tossed together to evenly coat the apple. Set aside. 3. Next, make the Blondies. In a large bowl, whisk the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar, until combined. Whisk in the eggs, extra egg yolk, vanilla extract, and maple extract, and beat until lightened in color, about 30 seconds. 4. Add the flour, baking powder, and salt. Using a silicone spatula to fold the batter until combined and no streaks of flour remain. 5. Transfer half of the batter to the prepared pan, using the silicone spatula to spread it evenly to the edges. The layer will be thin, but this is correct! 6. Sprinkle the apple mixture over the batter evenly to the edges, then use your fingers to gently press the apples into the batter in a flat, even layer. Use the silicone spatula to spread the remaining half of the blondie batter over the apples, evenly to the edges. 7. Bake until the blondies are golden brown and a butter knife inserted into the center comes out clean, 40-50 minutes. Place the pan on a cooling rack and allow the blondies to cool slightly in the pan. 8. Pour the glaze over the blondies ( it’s okay if they’re still a little warm). Let it set for 15 minutes before cutting into squares.
