@...cajun007: There's a house in the French Quarter that was supposedly offered to Napoleon 🇫🇷 500 Chartres Street was the home of Nicholas Girod, mayor of New Orleans from 1812 to 1815. Legend says Girod offered it to Napoleon in exile, and some say a rescue plot was in the works. Napoleon died on Saint Helena in 1821 before anything happened. Since 1914 it's been the Napoleon House bar and restaurant, famous for its Pimm's Cup.
