amm not quite right. In the context of hair dying, "mechas" are thos early 2000s chuncky highlighted pieces of hair. "luces" "rayitos" are the tiny ones that are on style now.

totalmente equivocados creo todos ! mechas si hablas del cabello se refiere a que el cabello está totalmente desarreglado, La palabra mecha en español proviene del francés antiguo mèche (cinta o cordón combustible para lámparas o velas), cuya base etimológica exacta es incierta, aunque se vincula al occitano meca y posiblemente a un origen prerromano o al latín mixtus (mezclado).
