i don't know how true that is globally, conservation and environmentalism has always been political, not just In the human impact and motivation argument, In fact, a lot of political ideology has influenced conservation policy, recently saw a video from @lochnessofficial talking about how nazi ideology actually influenced conservation policy / ideology, there's loads of stuff you can read about the different political movements that have fundamentally changed conservation, so saying it isnt a political issue or that there was a time that it was not political doesn't really acknowledge it's history, but yes true conservation does start from people. love what you do though 💗 x

James :

Its crazy how readily environmental issues and sustainability are overlooked given its resources are the backbone of huge industries like pharmaceutical, cosmetics, fashion, energy etc.

Eric Barlow :

I absolutely hate the sheer amount of environmental destruction that has come from the current admin. We basically don't have an epa or endangered species act anymore. We don't have a first service either.

This is superb. I appreciate the clear eyed vision for where your cause fits into people's lives.

Opinionated :

They know that protecting the planet starts with protecting and providing for humans. Its the reason they started creating political discourse around conservation.

Fig :

it's political now because fighting against it doesn't put money into the pockets of billionaires and at the end of the day our politics are controlled by money

Stephen :

Maya, you are so brilliant. Please run for office one day.
