@afroeccentrix: what was supposed to be a 5-hour amtrak ride from detroit to chicago turned into a 7+ hour train ride from hell 😭🚆 i was supposed to leave at 5:51 pm and arrive at chicago union station around 10:05 pm. instead, we didn’t actually leave until around 7 pm, the train kept stopping, jerking to a halt, sitting for what felt like forever, and the horn was basically the soundtrack to my nightmare 🫠 i finally made it back to chicago around 1:30 am yall!!!!! BUT the funniest part? amtrak gave me a credit for the trouble… so apparently i will be voluntarily getting back on this train again soon 😭😂🚆 wish me luck #amtrak #travelvlog #trainride #chicagotiktok #travelstorytime

Oh girl. One time i was going back to Ann Arbor from Chicago… In the middle of January. It went from a 4 hour trip to 12 hours with multiple delays. They ran out of food on the train immediately as well.
