We do not get paid properly for what we do, everything that we go through. Burn out is real, especially with short staffing! Cutting our wages also means less people will want to go into this field. The demand for ECE’s is high and we are not treated fairly for being an essential service.

im not an ECE but a child and youth worker, I work in a daycare setting doing the same work as the ECEs, i get paid a few dollars less for the same job, why dont all childcare workers get paid the same? regardless of title
