@summers_homemade_meals: ⚖️ SHAWARMA LAW! Since everyone wants to talk about Sharia Law, let’s talk about the only law I know: GOOD SHAWARMA IS MANDATORY! 😂 What’s your favorite childhood sandwich? Every Friday, my dad would set up his shawarma spit. People traveled from California, Ohio, Florida, New York, and Chicago just to get one of his sandwiches. By 3:30, he was ALWAYS sold out. His shawarma was legendary, and nothing ever compared! 🥩 BEEF SHAWARMA MARINADE (5 lbs beef) • 5 lbs beef, sliced long and thin @saadswholesale Cuts of beef: * Chuck * Flank * Ribeye * Skirt steak * Top round • 1/4 cup Mina olive oil • 2 tbsp seven spice (or allspice) • 2 tbsp black pepper • 2 tbsp salt • 1 tsp citric acid • 1 tbsp onion powder • 1 tbsp garlic powder • 1 cup vinegar Marinate for a minimum of 48 hours. 🥣 TAHINI (TARATOUR) • 1/2 cup @TAZAH tahini • 1/4 cup lemon juice • 1/4 cup parsley • 1 tsp salt • Ice water to thin • Optional jalapeño Pulse in food processor until smooth. 🥒 SANDWICH TOPPINGS • Middle Eastern pickles • Pickled turnips • Onions with parsley and sumac • Tomatoes • Extra fried pita bread 🌿 SEVEN SPICE • 4 tbsp allspice • 1 tbsp coriander • 1 tsp cardamom • 1 tsp cinnamon • 1 tsp cloves • 1 tsp nutmeg • 1 tsp bay leaves Mix and store in an airtight jar.
