@cbsla: State investment is coming to the Crenshaw Family YMCA, which has served the local community since 1952. On Wednesday, Assemblymember Isaac Bryan (D – Los Angeles) presented a $3 million check from the state of California to the Crenshaw Family YMCA for extensive facility upgrades, including their first fitness gym in 74 years of operation. Former NBA MVP and Southern California native Russell Westbrook celebrated with Bryan and local officials at the facility on Wednesday. The recently retired 9x All-Star has previously donated extensively to the facility with Jordan Brand and his non-profit Why Not? Foundation.
