A press conference is currently underway regarding the 10-year-old Philadelphia girl who disappeared on October 26 and was tragically found dead inside a vehicle in New Jersey. Authorities have confirmed that the child’s name is Malaysia, correcting earlier reports that identified her as Jalayshia. Authorities recovered surveillance footage showing that, at approximately 1:53 a.m. on Monday, October 26, her body was being removed from the residence. The footage allowed investigators to identify a vehicle of interest and the individual associated with it. That individual was subsequently located and interviewed by law enforcement. Information obtained during the interview led investigators to Malaysia’s body, which was discovered yesterday evening inside the trunk of a vehicle in New Jersey. Authorities said the condition of her body indicated that she had been deceased for some time. Her body was transported to the New Jersey medical examiner’s office for examination. The initial cause of death was determined to be blunt force trauma, and the manner of death was ruled a homicide. Authorities confirmed that Malaysia was murdered.
