@whitneylynallen: When I saw this picture, I felt tears rise up that I could barely hold back. It looks like someone is walking straight through a dense strip of starlight, right into Heaven’s gates. For my late husband, Ryan, to be bathed in so much light makes perfect sense. His smile always lit up every room, and I know it is no different in Heaven. As the heat of summer drifts into the cool of fall, I feel a quiet shift inside of me. Fall is the season when Ryan's accident happened, the moment that forever changed our lives. Although Ryan died on April 7, 2022, this time of year always brings me back to him, to that ache, and to the ways I keep searching for connection to him in more tangible ways. So on a whim, I wanted to look up the sky on the day Ryan gained his angel wings as a way to solidify that the veil between us is always oh so very thin and that he is in fact somewhere he is healed and content. Here's more about the photo that I love; On that same date, April 7, 2022, NASA shared an image of Messier 24, the Small Sagittarius Star Cloud. It’s not a single star or nebula, but a rare opening in the cosmic dust, a window into the heart of the Milky Way. A place where countless stars shine together, spanning a space wider than six full moons in the night sky. A breathtaking reminder of how vast and eternal love and light can be 🥹❤️ DM “Retreat” for my widow’s retreat DM “Support” for 1:1 grief support DM “Carried” for my second book DM “Running” for my book DM “Light” for my grief course DM “Email” to join my list #anoxicbraininjury #youngwidow #widow #lifeafterloss #griefandloss Grief coach for widows.
