@devonthenatureguy: There’s 3 main mouth position categories! Superior, or upturned, means the fish feeds at the surface, snatching insects or ambushing prey from below. Terminal, or straight ahead, means they are versatile mid-water feeders that chase or pick off food in front of them. Like trout and bass! Inferior, or downturned, means the fish are bottom-dwellers that graze, sift, or vacuum food from the substrate. Like catfish, sturgeon, and plecos!!!
