@gettinglactation: Nobody told you that your breasts might join in on date night. 🫠🙃 If you've ever experienced a milk letdown during sex, you're not alone. Oxytocin is a hormone plays a role in BOTH milk letdowns AND intimacy. So sometimes those two things overlap in ways you weren't exactly expecting. A few things to remember: -It's completely normal- no you aren't weird or broken -It doesn't mean anything is wrong with your milk supply or change the content of your milk -You can nurse or pump beforehand if you're feeling full and this can help prevent letdowns during intimacy for some -A towel nearby or nursing pads can be helpful. And please don't feel like you need to be embarrassed about something your body is doing physiologically but it's helpful to know this can occur BEFORE it happens for the first time! Breastfeeding bodies are doing A LOT. Let's talk about it! Save this for later and send it to a breastfeeding or expecting mom who needs to hear that she's not alone & may not have know this!
