As a Christian, I have my own relationship with God at this point and no one else needs to know about it. I haven’t been able to find a community near me in years that doesn’t judge or push the faith on others. I started losing my faith because those around me were so toxic (especially my dad and step mom). I give Talarico credit for reminding me that there are still Christians out there that are genuinely good people and don’t judge and lead lives like Jesus would. I still love all my neighbors of other faiths equally too 💙 and the Muslims I’ve met recently have been so much kinder than the other Christians I’ve met recently

My grandpa is from Iran and was raised Muslim. He no longer practices but many of our family members still do and not a single one of them have ever tried to push it on me or made me pray with them. But my husband’s Christian family…🙄

I lived in a Muslim-majority country for over a year. Not ONCE did I ever get approached to be a part of that religion, not once was I approached by a man and told to cover my hair or dress more modestly, not once did I have god shoved down my throat. I had the freedom to dress as I wished and not observe god in any way that I didn’t want to.

I grew up in a religious household but didnt meet Jesus until I was 28, just had a baby out of wedlock. thats where Jesus met me.. at my rock bottom. and not once has he condemned me. Worked with people from both religions. The Christian group, of many denominations, tried to convert me, during work and break times. The Muslim group on the other hand *never* once tried preaching to me while in the middle of a work shift. One group kept telling me I was going to burn for eternity when they discovered I was bisexuality unless I married a "good" man. The other group welcomed me with open arms and said nothing about where i would go in the afterlife. Guess which is the one who I avoided at all costs.
