@hauuntedhou: A mother and daughter went for a simple walk near their home in Canada. Neither of them ever came back. And what investigators discovered along the trail has left an entire community shaken. Jennifer Balcarras, 48, and her 20-year-old daughter, Selah Reed, disappeared on October 31 near Bella Coola, British Columbia. They were walking along the Snooka West Trail, just minutes from their home. According to relatives, the two women were familiar with the area. But when they failed to return and Jennifer missed a scheduled family gathering online, relatives became increasingly worried. They reported the pair missing on November 1. Search teams discovered Jennifer's body on Monday, November 2. Then, the following afternoon, officers found Selah's body. Investigators discovered evidence suggesting the two women had been attacked by a grizzly bear. But here's the disturbing part. Authorities haven't ruled out the possibility that multiple bears were involved. Conservation officers have placed traps in the area and warned residents to stay away from the trail. Any bear confirmed to have participated in the attack could be euthanized to protect public safety. The tragedy comes nearly one year after another grizzly attack near Bella Coola injured 11 people during a school field trip. Officials have not established any connection between the two incidents. Jennifer was an art therapist and school counselor who had recently moved to the community to begin a new chapter in her life. Selah was only 20, with her entire future ahead of her. Now their family is mourning two lives lost during what was supposed to be an ordinary walk.
