Stepmother here. I ask the mom what her rules are in her house so I can implement them here to. Kids tend to do as they please with weekend parent. it worked well and we built a trust as mother's. you basically have to become the "dad". just giving what worked for me.

Yeah and I ran mine back to her car and told her I beat her butt one time for the things she put my stepchildren up to do but now they she come to realize or grew up whatever say I can be in the same room with her but my step child she still tell me she loves me but she don’t come around much anymore
