@midnight_case_vault: In Oklahoma, sixty-three-year-old Salomi Derena Ochsner was charged with first-degree murder after police say she shot and killed her sleeping sixty-three-year-old husband, Jeff Ochsner, with a .38 Special revolver following an alleged domestic assault. According to the Tillman County Sheriff's Office, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, and Law&Crime, the shooting occurred around 5:30 a.m. on October 30, 2026, at a home on East West County Road in Chattanooga, Oklahoma. Investigators say Jeff Ochsner returned home from a hunting trip the previous night and violently beat his wife until she bled across the floor. At approximately 5:30 the next morning, Ochsner retrieved a .38 Special revolver from beside the bed where her husband was sleeping face down. Standing at the foot of the bed, she shot him. When he rolled onto the floor still breathing, she shot him one or two more times, later telling dispatchers it was her life or his. Ochsner called 911 at 5:35 a.m. and is currently held in the Tillman County jail on a $200,000 bond.
