We're crunchy in a lot of ways, but apparently not the fun, magical witch kind. 😂 We eat gluten-free, avoid artificial dyes, pay attention to ingredients, and make plenty of choices that probably earn us the crunchy mom label. But we also let our kids enjoy Halloween. Honestly, trick-or-treating has never really been about the candy for us. It's about dressing up, seeing all the costumes and decorations, and having fun together. The candy is just a bonus. Our kids get to enjoy some of the gluten-free, dye-free options, and after a couple of days, we're done with it. We don't call candy bad. We talk about ingredients, why we make certain choices, and how some foods are occasional treats rather than everyday things. And here's where my unpopular opinion comes in... I don't think we need to replace the candy with something else. They already got to dress up, go trick-or-treating, collect candy, and enjoy some of it. Why does there need to be another reward for giving up the rest? Sometimes we get to enjoy something for a little while, and then it's over. And I think that's a perfectly good lesson for kids to learn. But we also don't do the Tooth Fairy in our house, so maybe we're just no fun. 😂 I'm curious where everyone else lands on this one. Do you do the Switch Witch, let them keep everything, or have your own system?

واهْجُرْهُمْ هَجْرًا جَمِيلًا یہ سورۃ المزمل کی آیت نمبر 10 ہے۔ مکمل آیت ہے: وَاصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَاهْجُرْهُمْ هَجْرًا جَمِيلًا ### اس کا مطلب کیا ہے؟ ہجرِ جمیل (خوبصورت کنارہ کشی) کے 3 اصول ہیں: نفرت کے بغیر چھوڑنا: دل میں بغض، کینہ یا انتقام رکھے بغیر الگ ہو جانا۔ سامنے والے کے لیے بھی دل میں برا نہ رکھنا۔ توہین کے بغیر چھوڑنا: اسے ذلیل نہ کرنا، اس کی بے عزتی نہ کرنا، اس کی کمزوریوں کا لوگوں کے سامنے ذکر نہ کرنا۔ اس کی عزت کو ویسے ہی رہنے دینا جیسے آپ اپنی عزت چاہتے ہیں۔ بدکلامی کے بغیر چھوڑنا: گالی، طعنہ، الزام، یا چیخ و پکار نہیں۔ بس خاموشی سے اپنا راستہ بدل لینا۔ ### مفسرین کیا کہتے ہیں؟ مفسرین کہتے ہیں کہ *ہجرِ جمیل* وہ ہے جس میں شکایت نہ ہو۔ جیسے حضرت یعقوب علیہ السلام نے کہا تھا فَصَبْرٌ جَمِيلٌ- خوبصورت صبر، یعنی ایسا صبر جس میں کسی انسان سے شکوہ نہ ہو۔ اسی طرح ہجرِ جمیل کا مطلب ہے:
