Paper Mario: Intro Paper Mario is a 2000 role-playing game for the Nintendo 64 and the first entry in the Paper Mario series. Developed by Intelligent Systems, it combines traditional RPG elements with Mario's world and a distinctive paper-inspired visual style. The adventure begins when Bowser steals the Star Rod from Star Haven, giving him the power to grant wishes.
