Saw a post of a pilot who flew this exact jet many times. He stated the pilots who crashed got into this same situation months ago, and that you don’t get two chances in this airplane. Supposedly you don’t go through storms in this plane, you go around.

They couldn't recover from a stall. The horizontal stabilizers were gone. I saw a photo of the jet as it was coming down. It was clear the horizontal stabilizers were already gone. By the way my Dad was a Delta pilot. I got my private pilots at age 16 50 yrs ago. I quit flying 5 yrs ago due to cataracts. By the time I was 20, I was a competent pilot. I never flew jets but I knew well how to get out of a stall. They had no possible way of pushing the nose up or down.

*Any* pilot could have easily avoided that accident by.... not being there. The very same way most anyone can avoid most any accident: mitigate hazards before they become dangers.

She was relatively young. She was relatively OVER experienced. She logged more flight hours than most private jet Captains and more than enough flight hours on that specific platform to serve as copilot.

No , we don’t know if plane was hit by lightning or ice on plane just got worse and was game over . They didn’t have time to correct problem . Most likely should not have made the trip do to weather

Yeah a lot of experienced pilots would have deviated south away from the storm in general. He and her had barely any experience, he was 55 but only got experience from 2021

the elevator broke off causing the highspeed descent... as the jets were probably maxed out to go into a climb

No, once the wings and control surfaces were iced up it was over for that lear. Same reason you can only fly the ATR-42 in good weather...they suck in icy conditions.

If I need to fly it will always be commercial. It just seems like with those pilots they are trained more with difficult situations.
