ONE WEEK. NO ARRESTS. WE DEMAND ANSWERS. We, the family, friends, students, parents, elders, community leaders, residents, and concerned members of the community, are coming together with one united demand: JUSTICE FOR 15-YEAR-OLD JARVIS FRIMPONG. Today, Thursday, marks one full week since Jarvis Frimpong, a 15-year-old child, lost his life on his way to school. One week. Seven days. Seven days of grief. Seven days of unanswered questions. Seven days of a family living through unimaginable pain. Seven days of a community demanding answers. And we are still waiting. We are angry. We are heartbroken. We are frustrated. And we are demanding action. Jarvis was only 15 years old. He was a child with a future ahead of him. He should have been thinking about school, his friends, his dreams, and his future — not becoming the victim of a deadly shooting. His family should not have to spend day after day wondering when justice will come. His mother should not have to wake up every morning without her son while waiting for answers. And this community should not have to keep marching in the streets simply to demand that a 15-year-old child’s death receive the urgency it deserves. WE ARE CALLING ON NYPD AND EVERY AUTHORITY INVOLVED IN THIS CASE: TAKE ACTION NOW. NYPD has publicly stated that investigators have CCTV footage involving three individuals believed to be connected to the investigation. So we are asking legitimate questions: If investigators have images or video that could help identify these individuals, what is preventing authorities from releasing images to the public if doing so is legally and operationally appropriate? Could members of the public recognize them? Could someone know who they are? Could releasing an image help investigators receive the tip that finally leads to an arrest? And if investigators already have sufficient evidence to identify and locate those responsible, what is stopping them from making an arrest? We are not asking for shortcuts. We are not asking authorities to compromise the integrity of the investigation. We are asking for urgency, transparency, communication, and action. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. We cannot normalize a 15-year-old child being killed and then expect the community to simply go home, remain silent, and wait indefinitely. We cannot tell a grieving family to “be patient” without giving them meaningful answers about what is happening. We cannot ask this community to trust the process while providing no clear explanation of where the investigation stands. Jarvis deserves justice. His family deserves justice. This community deserves justice. Today, we are standing together in the streets because silence is no longer acceptable. We are calling on: * NYPD to pursue every available lead with urgency. * Investigators to identify and locate the individuals responsible. * City officials to support the family and community. * School officials to cooperate fully with the investigation and address any relevant concerns. * Community leaders to continue standing with Jarvis’ family. * Anyone with information to come forward and help investigators. * All authorities involved to communicate clearly with the public about the progress of this case. WE WANT ANSWERS. Who is responsible? Where are they? What is being done to find them? What evidence has investigators recovered? We are demanding answers — not silence. But we will not stop speaking. We will not stop asking questions. We will not stop standing with Jarvis’ family. And we will not allow the memory of a 15-year-old child to disappear into silence. ONE WEEK IS ONE WEEK TOO LONG FOR A FAMILY TO BE LEFT WAITING. Now it is time for the authorities to do everything within their power to find those responsible and bring this case to justice. NYPD — WE ARE WAITING FOR ANSWERS. AUTHORITIES — WE ARE WAITING FOR ACTION. COMMUNITY — WE WILL NOT BE SILENCED. JUSTICE FOR JARVIS FRIMPONG. JUSTICE NOW. 🕊️✊🏾 ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
