It’s not weird. I’m a director and I get it. If he told you his story that means he liked you.

i’m not in ib but i’m in finance and whenever someone someone messages me on linkedin i feel an overwhelming wave of guilt, i morally cannot tell another young person to apply for the firm let alone a similar role.

How long did u end up doing IB? I’m non target but feel I have a decent shot but I’m starting to think I can’t handle the hours. I really want to enjoy my 20s and might just go for corporate banking even tho it doesn’t seem as interesting to me.

How long did you make it in investment banking?

I think the ones who don’t like it get into it for the wrong reasons. It’s like playing a sport in college. It’s going to really test whether or not you truly like the sport itself or the perks that come with it.
