@theargentgroup: Some companies that cut jobs to rely on AI are now hiring people again after finding that the technology cannot handle everything. Klarna, a Swedish fintech company, heavily relied on AI chatbots to handle customer service. But CEO Sebastian Siemiatkowski later admitted the company had gone too far and began hiring human customer service workers again in 2025. Ford also hired or promoted 350 experienced engineers in June 2026 to help improve vehicle quality and catch problems that automated systems had missed. A Robert Half survey found that 32% of hiring managers at companies that cut jobs mainly because of AI or automation said their companies later hired for the same positions again. The findings show that AI can do many tasks, but companies still need people for experience, problem-solving and decision-making.
