@fire.steve: I have bandages, a tourniquet CPR, and an AED. If you require anything else we’re waiting. #firesteve #volunteerfirefighter #firstresponderhumor #firstaid #ems
My thoughts exactly when I have to write my name as “First aider” on my FLHA because there’s no onsite medic. Just a heads up y’all…..if you get hurt today, you’re going to meet Jesus

[Tears of joy][Tears of joy][Tears of joy]the Paramedics told me to stop throwing up, I had been doing that for the last 3 days that’s why we called you! I would have loved being able to stop, rehydration sure felt good though.

I’m a volunteer firefighter and AEMT … the county requires all first responder to have at least BEMT or EMT (paramedic) certification

In my experience, retired paramedic, then later went into higher levels of medicine. If there any excuse to give ASA it’s on board, nitro too for places that have it. It’s like thanks but now I have to be careful of vasodilators.

This is hilarious but super untrue about a lot of small town firefighters

James :
Mostly untrue, volunteers in my area are also EMTs, paramedics and some are career ff’s in larger neighboring areas, some even work part time for the local ambulance service and some work full time there, we operate under their protocols and all of our equipment is standard across the county, we are also equipped with Lucas CPR devices in every station

They show yo except for that “lift assist” at 2am when they are down the street and your two districts over lol. However an MVC and you see volunteers youve never seen! Lll

There really isn’t much more that an EMT can do than someone with PSFA. When shit really hits the fan it all falls back to BLS. A paramedic may be able to push some drugs but without the BLS in place it’s not going to much most of the time.

as the other corner of the first responder triangle..... I feel ya.
I got a tourniquet, a small trauma kit, first aid, and good intentions.... sometimes.
I can add some holes to ya if you need those!
