Dalot can make a difficult dribble look effortless, but if the final pass goes nowhere, the cross misses everyone or possession is given away cheaply, then what have you actually achieved? And if Carrick wants to take this team forward, he must be ruthless enough to make difficult decisions about players who are not delivering consistently.”
