I 100% agree. They approach every “mystery” with a conspiratorial mindset to fill in their knowledge gaps. They don’t know what they don’t know. They form their conclusions first, and then seek out information that confirms those conclusions second.

It's interesting to me that the three women content creators I have watched who loudly decry anyone questioning the lack of investigation into Patrick Clancy all project a similar condescension and arrogance.

I think there’s an idea that they are going against a corrupt power, so any “facts” are dismissed because it is associated with corruption. And the only people they can trust are the people who also see the corruption, and when it doesn’t make sense they have to find reasons to make it make sense, or explain it, otherwise they are no longer a part of something greater that will take the power from the “bad guys”

Oh 100% I agree! I don’t know the term either. Like a narcissist actually believes their own version of the story that they tell themselves.

Agree. A lack of critical thinking that allows you to see what you want and “know facts” above the experts.

its not left or right...its both, it's the far right and far left. They're extremists because their brain is broken...and for the same reason, believe conspiracy theories on social media.

IMO they are more like flat Earthers. They use the same logical fallacies. What you are touching on is an esoteric knowledge fantasy, and from that they have gained a sense of validation and/or community. And from that, bloated level of self importance.
