Agreed because a book can be so bad that I’ll never forget it and a book can be so good that I’ll never forget it, but if it’s mediocre that’s literally hours of my life I don’t care enough to remember

How I ratethings, a 3-star book is fine. I enjoyed it, I may even recommend it in the right situation. It's the 2-star books that are the problem. I also generally expect books I read to be 4 stars, they have to really impress me to get a 5.
