From a personal perspective. If the woman you want to be intimate with is so emotionally and physically exhausted bc of your lack of willingness/weaponized incompetence to be a part of the house dynamics then you aren’t fulfilling your expectations either….

There are some valid points here. There is more to it than this, and I believe the author knows that very well and isn’t trying to be singular or myopic. But the question I have is; what happens when we make comparisons between eating at a restaurant and having sex and a marriage and then choosing to decide that they are so similar that if the partner doesn’t put out like the service at the restaurant then they can be left like one would leave a restaurant?

My husband hasn’t touched me since 2015. Before then it was less than five a year. We had to use assistance to have children because he had no desire. A man gently touched my back as passing by in a restaurant and I broke down crying. That was the last time I made an effort and just shut that part of my life down. There comes a point where you watch part of yourself fade away.

I am a woman and it happens both ways. Men also have health issues as they get older. But I must admit, some of the women I know don’t play fair. Yes, hormones play a part of our aging, but to expect the man to give all and not even meet them half way is wrong. Both parties need to make the effort to talk and work it all out. Or let each other go.
