@kingdomfrequencyradio: 📻 Kingdom Frequency Radio™ 📻 Have you ever stopped to consider what it means that Jesus Christ, knowing every sin you’ve ever committed, would one day acknowledge you before His Father? 📖 “He who conquers will be clothed thus in white garments, and I will never blot his name out of the book of life. I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels.” (Revelation 3:5 ESV) There is something incredibly humbling about this promise. Jesus doesn’t merely promise His people a place in heaven. He promises that they will be clothed in white, that their names will never be blotted out of the Book of Life, and that He Himself will acknowledge them before His Father. But how can sinners receive such a wonderful promise? Not because we are worthy. Not because we have lived perfectly. Not because we have earned His favor. It is entirely because of the saving grace of Jesus Christ. The white garments point to the purity and righteousness that believers receive through Christ. We cannot cleanse ourselves from sin. We cannot make ourselves righteous before a holy God. Our only hope is found in the finished work of Jesus. And notice something beautiful about this passage. Jesus says, “I will never blot his name out of the book of life.” This promise beautifully reflects the perseverance of the saints. Those whom God saves through Christ will be kept by His power until the end. Jesus declared in John 6:39 that He would lose nothing of all that the Father had given Him, but would raise it up on the last day. Our assurance of salvation does not rest upon the strength of our grip on Christ, but upon the faithfulness of Christ who holds us. And what does it mean to overcome? First John 5:4–5 teaches that the victory overcoming the world is through faith, and that the one who overcomes is the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. Even that saving faith is not a reason for boasting. Salvation is by grace through faith, the gift of God, not the result of works (Ephesians 2:8–9). Think about that. The One who knew our every sin is the very One who bore our sins upon the cross. The One who brought us near by His grace is the One who will keep us until the end. And the One who saved us is the One who promises to acknowledge His people before the Father. What a humbling thought: One day, not because of anything we have earned, but because of everything Christ has accomplished, He will confess His people before His Father. That is the beautiful promise behind our song, “One Day You’ll Speak My Name.” 🎶 Listen to Kingdom Frequency Radio™ for original Scripture-centered Christian music and biblical encouragement that continually points us back to Jesus Christ. 📻 Listen free: KingdomFrequencyRadio.com Kingdom Frequency Radio™ “Tuned to Truth.
